Thank you for choosing Rome Health.  We recognize that our patients' apprehension may be heightened as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At Rome Health, we’ve implemented several measures to enhance the hospital’s already stringent infection prevention strategies to protect your safety.

We are guided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the New York State Department of Health (NYS DOH), and the American Physical Therapy Association guidance to ensure that we deliver care in the safest environment possible.

Our expansive space at Chestnut Commons with separate gym and treatment areas enhances our ability to maintain social distancing for our patients.

    • Therapists will conduct a risk assessment during the initial interview to determine what special accommodations may be necessary for their protection.
    • The center has private, walled treatment areas for  pelvic floor rehabilitation.
    • High risk/exceptionally vulnerable patients may also be treated in private room space.

The unique footprint of our facility combined with the additional precautions will protect our patients and provide them with the reassurances they need to obtain treatment.

    • Patients will be screened for symptoms prior to entering Chestnut Commons.
    • Staff and patients will wear masks within the facility.
    • Social distancing will be maintained between patients in all areas.
    • A risk assessment will be conducted to identify special needs of high-risk patients.
    • Patients will use hand sanitizer prior to and after therapy.
    • Therapists will use gloves with all patients.
    • Surfaces and equipment will be thoroughly sanitized between patients.
    • Only patients will be permitted into the suite unless the patient is a minor or in need of caregiver, at which time one support person per patient will be allowed.
